Homemade teriyaki chicken
Teriyaki sauce
1 cup water
1/4 soy sauce
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp garlic powder
5 tbsp brown sugar
1-2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp corn starch
1/4 cold water
1. Mix all but corn starch and cold water in a sauce pan and begin heating.
2. Mix corn starch in cold water, add to sauce pan.
3. Heat and mix until desired thickness is reached.
I let this cool off then poured it over 2 chicken breasts to marinade all day. I will then make another batch of sauce, brown rice, and steamed veggies.

I didn't need to buy anything for this recipe, it was all in my pantry and fridge. I think when I make the sauce again I will leave out some of the sugar.
